Alumni Achievements

The department recently contacted 1,250 alumni, requesting business cards in order to track the career paths of our graduates. Lawyers, government employees and politicians returned the most cards, but we also heard from college professors, business people, the publisher of Essence magazine and the president of Bueno Foods. Kathe Zolman, who graduated with a BA in political science in 1993 is now Tribal Prosecutor for the Jicarilla Apache Tribe. Fae Korsmo, Ph.D. University of New Mexico 1992, is currently Program Director for Arctic Social Sciences at the National Science Foundation.
