Michael Riley is a PhD student in International Relations and Methodology, focusing on national security decision making.  His interests include maritime affairs, defense policy formulation in a dynamic international environment, and the politics of security alliances. In addition to his work in the PhD program, Michael is a Commanding Officer and Professor of Naval Science with UNM's Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps Unit. Michael received an MA in National Security and Strategic Studies from the US Naval War College and a BA in Political Science from the University of New Mexico.
