Dr. Stanley Presents in CNM UNM Lecture Series

Dr. Stanley presented "The Violence Driving Central Americans to the U.S. and What We Can Do About It" at CNM as part of the CNM/UNM Latin American Studies Lecture Series. In his presentation, Dr. Stanley discussed the push and pull factors resulting in the increased immigration to the United States from Central America, focusing on the potential policies which the United States could adopt in response. His work has focuses on civil wars, political violence, international peacekeeping, and post-conflict reforms to state institutions including police, military, and judiciaries, with a regional emphasis on Central America.
