John Wagner is a PhD Student in American and Comparative Politics, focusing on media politics, social media, and participation. His interests are centered around media and the internet as forms of political participation with additional work on gender and LGBT politics both in the United States and abroad. Before coming to the University of New Mexico, John received a BA from the College of Wooster in Political Science where he wrote an independent study thesis on the stability of consociational democratic institutions.
