“Build Your Methods Toolkit” Series: LLMs & Data Scraping
Students will learn to use accessible, no-code platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, local LLMs, and browser-based scraping tools to collect data from platforms like Reddit, Bluesky, and Twitter/X, then apply LLMs to analyze sentiment, extract themes, and generate insights from their collected data.
The workshop emphasizes practical, ethical approaches to digital research, covering legal considerations, API alternatives, and real-world applications in political science.
Graduate students, Political Science BA/MA, and POLS Undergraduate Honors students are welcome. RSVP is required and spots are limited (click here to register)!
