Abstract: Democracy and (Re)Districting: Every 10 years the Decennial Census leads to electoral reapportionment and redistricting across the United States, from the U.S. House of Representatives to state legislatures, to county commissions.This talk discusses how redistricting enhances or harms democratic processes with a particular focus on the voting rights of racial minorities.
