Biography:
Dr. Jessica Hejny received her PhD in political science with a focus on public policy and administration. She taught at the college level for 7 years in political science and environmental studies programs. In 2021, she moved to New Mexico and transitioned to public service. From 2021 to 2024, she oversaw the development of police training at the Albuquerque Police Department Training Academy as part of the police reform effort. She now manages the development of statewide air quality regulations at the New Mexico Department of Environment.
