Gabriel Elias is a first-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Political Science and a Health and Social Policy doctoral fellow at the UNM Center for Social Policy. His research interests include American Politics and Comparative Politics as a subfield. Specifically, Gabriel Elias focuses on Racial-Ethnic Politics and Immigration. Other research interests include mental health, education policy, and immigration policy affecting Latino and other underrepresented communities. Gabriel Elias holds a B.A. In Political Science and Chicana/Chicano Studies from the University of California Davis.
